Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)

Dirty Electricity Exposure

Dirty Electricity also  termed as High Frequency Voltage Transients (HFVT). The frequency bands that are generated in connection with the production, transmission, distribution and use of electrical power usually have a frequency of 50 - 60 Hz. The term 'dirty electricity' refers to the electromagnetic energy flowing along a conductor that deviates from a pure 50 / 60 Hz sine wave and has both harmonic and transient properties (refers to spikes and surges of electromagnetic energy traveling along power lines and building wiring where only standard 50 / 60 Hz AC electricity should be).

  • Electromagnetic Fields generated by RF transients or 'high voltage frequency transients.
  • Created by electronics and other electrical devices that must change or manipulate standard electrical current in one or another in order to operate.
  • Also known as "dirty power", "electrical noise", "line noise", and "power line EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) "

Sources of Dirty Electricity Exposure

  • Fluorescent light bulbs and tubes
  • Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs)
  • Light Dimmer Switches
  • Charge inverters of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Panels (known to produce 20 kHz)
  • Battery Charging device for cell phone, tablets etc
  • Switched mode power supplies in computer and printers
  • Motor control circuit board of variable speed furnace motors.
  • High Quality Audio and Home systems.
