Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)

Magnetic Field Exposure

Magnetic Field Exposure produced by  current flow on conductors through a closed loop.

  • Occurs only when there is current flow.
  • Extends only 2 - 4 feet from typical point sources (transformers, motors)
  • Extends 6 - 10 feet from current on Grounding System or Wiring Errors.
  • Occurs when hot and neutral are separated - overhead power lines, knob and tube circuits.
  • Exposure decreases with distance.

Health Effects

  • Magnetic Field from 60 Hz building, house Wiring and power lines are known a cancer risk.
  • Magnetic Field Exposure wears down your immune system and cause a host of symptoms.

Studies and Research on Health Effects of Magnetic Field Exposure :

  • Researches have found health effects , including doubling of leukemia rates associated with living in AC Magnetic Field strength greater than 4.0 mG : www.emfs.info/health/leukaemia/
  • The World Health Organization's International Agency for Reseaech on Cancer (IARC) finds that human exposure to level of 300-400 nT (3-4 mG) and up are considered to be potentially carcinogenic. https://www.iarc.fr/
  • A pooled analysis of magnetic field, wire codes and childhood leukemia : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11055621
