Flower Moon

"Once in a Blue Moon" rings true this month as we'll have a Blue Flower Moon! A Blue Moon is the 3rd Full Moon in a given season. This Flower Moon will be the last Full Moon of Spring.

Why is it called the Flower Moon?

At the end of Spring and beginning of Summer, May's full moon is called the "Flower Moon", named after the abundance of blooming flowers.
